August 8, 2006-  Many of you know Vivian's story.  Vivian was
born with complications during a premature birth.  She has
Kabuki syndrome which formed her mouth with a vaulted
palate, bifid uvula, and submucuos cleft palate.  For 18 months
we struggled to get Vivian to eat.  We searched coast to coast
for surgeries, implants, therapists, doctors, something to help
Vivian to eat.  We came across the Los Altos Feeding Clinic
and had astonishing results in 5 weeks of intensive therapy.
Vivian now eats up to 27 ounces by mouth a day.  Her meals
last about 20-30 minutes.  She can drink through a straw.  Since
she has been eating her development has sky rocketed.  She is
happy and comfortable for once in her life.
