The Hovannesian Feeding Foundation was
started by the Hovannesian family after
welcoming into their family their daughter,
Vivian, born with Kabuki Syndrome.  From
birth Vivian had feeding issues caused by low
tone, a high arched vaulted palate,  bifid uvula,
and an inconsistent suck pattern.  Vivian spent
5 weeks in the NICU when it was decided to
surgically implant a feeding tube in her
stomach.  Vivian was taken home a few days
later and a long journey began.  The journey
has included many specialists throughout the
country and numerous feeding apparatuses and
supplies.  Through hard work and therapy
Vivian has overcome much of her feeding
aversion, gagging, and other issues associated
with her problem.  Vivian's feeding will always
be an issue.  It will take years before our
family stops counting every calorie and
weighing her daily.  But, we are in a much
better place and are extremely positive about
what the future has in store for Vivian.
About Us

The Hovannesian Feeding Foundation
accepts private and corporate
donations in an effort to raise
money for feeding treatments
and supplies.  The Feeding
Foundation has been involved
in numerous fundraisers,
mostly home grown, that will
continue annually.
We also accept donations of
feeding supplies.  In many
cases families have excess
items.  We would like to
collect these items to
redistribute to families who
are forced to pay out of their
pocket despite having
insurance.  Other items such
as new bottles, bibs, spoons,
and other feeding related
items are welcomed.  After
completion of a feeding clinic
or treatment we would like to
send families home with a
CareBasket filled with bowls,
spoons, bibs, etc. to help them
start the wonderful experience
of oral feeding.  Please email
or call us if you have any
new/unused items to donate.
The foundation will pay all
shipping costs.
